Role as a Specialist doctor at Värnamo Hospital

As a specialist in internal medicine/gastroenterology at Värnamo Hospital, you will have significant clinical responsibility with extensive patient contact. In our smaller gastroenterology unit, you will have greater responsibility for patients and a considerable opportunity to influence the operations and its goals.

Our unit has a shared endoscopy clinic with the surgical department, providing you with the chance to collaborate with various professionals who bring a wide range of expertise and experience to this dynamic and rewarding role. We maintain a strong and close collaboration with the day care unit, colleagues from other units, and the two other gastroenterology units within the Jönköping County Region.

The Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic is the largest clinic at Värnamo Hospital, encompassing many specialties under one roof. We have four inpatient care units, each focused on different specialties, such as stroke, GAVA, endocrinology, and cardiology. Our facilities are well-designed and modern, ensuring a patient-centered approach. You will work alongside both experienced colleagues and new team members, all of whom are highly dedicated.

Your Profile

We are looking for a specialist doctor in both internal medicine and gastroenterology, preferably with expertise in hepatology.

To thrive with us, you should be comfortable in a consulting and supportive role. You are a stable and confident individual with the ability to distinguish between personal and professional matters. You are confident in your knowledge and competence, able to make independent decisions, and take responsibility for your tasks. Since the role involves a lot of collaboration with colleagues, we value your ability to work well with others. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Our Offer to You

We offer you a varied role at a smaller hospital where all the expertise is close at hand. You will enjoy favorable working hours, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 16:30. Standard on-call duties are included in the position.

The gastroenterology unit currently consists of one physician who, together with skilled nurses and assistant nurses, forms a successful team. Here, you will have a significant opportunity to influence your work and the operations, with short decision-making processes.

This is a permanent full-time position.
